Foreign Africa participated in the international conference “Shaping Africa–Europe Cooperation for a Sustainable Future”, held in France and Germany from 2–4 October 2025. The engagement followed a series of partner meetings in Brussels. It included a study tour and policy engagement at the European Parliament, reflecting the organisation’s growing involvement in policy-oriented dialogue across Europe.
As part of the conference programme, Foreign Africa delivered a presentation at Kehl University of Applied Sciences based on a paper submitted for publication titled “Rewiring African–European Relations: City Diplomacy, Academic Networks and Transcontinental Learning Ecosystems.” The presentation examined the role of cities and academic collaboration in strengthening Africa–Europe cooperation through knowledge exchange and inclusive policy frameworks.
Foreign Africa’s participation underscored its commitment to evidence-based dialogue and the importance of African-led research in shaping constructive discourse and policy engagement between Africa and Europe. The engagement marked an important step in amplifying African research perspectives within global discussions on cooperation and sustainable development.
