James Kodjie is a development practitioner and policy researcher with experience in youth empowerment, democratic governance, education, and Pan-African engagement. He has a strong background in programme coordination and stakeholder mobilisation, with a focus on multi-country initiatives and policy engagement.
He has coordinated regional campaigns and policy initiatives, including work on digital inclusion in Southern Africa and youth engagement platforms linked to continental policy processes. He has also contributed to the development of governance assessment frameworks for tertiary institutions and policy actors across Africa.
His work includes data-driven policy research, with experience in analysing and synthesising socio-political issues to inform programme design and advocacy. He has contributed to international policy discourse, including co-authoring a chapter in The Bloomsbury Handbook of Student Politics and Representation in Higher Education.
James holds a Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Development Studies and a Master of Science in Development Studies. He is currently a doctoral candidate in Interdisciplinary Studies.
His work focuses on strengthening governance systems, advancing education policy, and supporting youth participation in decision-making processes across Africa.
