Rita Abla Dugbenu is a development professional, learning expert, and project management specialist with over seven years of experience designing, managing, and implementing projects focused on education, Rita Abla Dugbenu is a development professional, learning expert, and project management specialist with over eight years of experience designing, managing, and implementing projects focused on education, women and adolescent development, child rights, youth transitions, sustainable livelihoods, and human capital development in Africa.
She currently serves as the Assistant Director, West Africa Hub at The Education Collaborative, Ashesi University, where she works closely with the Executive Director and regional committees to expand The Collaborative’s footprint and strengthen networks across West Africa. In this role, she oversees the design and implementation of hub initiatives, manages engagement with member institutions, coordinates impact tracking and reporting, and facilitates collaborations that enhance institutional capacity and advance student success across the region.
Rita has also led impactful programs supporting women and youth through her work with International Needs Ghana and the Gender Centre for Empowering Development (GenCED). She remains deeply committed to advancing gender equity, youth empowerment, and community development across Africa.
Rita holds a BA in Spanish and Linguistics and an MA in International Affairs from the University of Ghana.
